BlueChart g2 allows you to take to the water and City Navigator is perfect for roads. My interpretation is that Garmin just gave the finger to anyone who wants to use alternative, free maps on their devices. Now you can downgrade to the old Basecamp, and that is the immediate fix for the problem.
